Methapo is an association consisted of five members which was founded in 1997, formally known as „Methapo Sounds „ by Mosoeu Ketlele and Mabeleng Moholo, two artists who have invested themselves in strong experience for a contemporary dance show in Europe. During their stay, the creation of Methapo workshops was a real success with the youngsters from the European suburbs.

We want to give the possibility to the youngsters from the problem zones Soweto to form sensibly the spare time, while we carry out Workshops in which we offer music, dance, theatre and a lot more.

MEP is a non profit and non governmental organization (NPO & NGO) and has recognised which shows the art good means to the other education. Sport, Art and Culture Gauteng department has sustained MEP for Gauteng Carnival and also, MEP has created a show for Macufe Festival.

Methapo Vision is to promote the strength and abilities of the ambitious youngsters. The youngsters can thereby free themselves of the trauma of the past and accept the difficulties of the present as a challenge.

Our Purpose is to be promoted it the culture; by learn from dance, music, theatre and puppetry

MEP wants to give a platform to the youngsters to appear her potential, regardless of gender, religious affiliation, race and tradition. Further we support training programs from national Governmental -and Non-Governmental organisations, by creative and imaginative theatrical projects.
